Kylian Mbappe’s relationship with PSG has broken down and he wants to leave the club in the January transfer window as per ESPN.
The France international was on the brink of joining European champions Real Madrid in the summer transfer but decided to remain at the Pac des Princes to the surprise of many football fans.
France Bleu reported that the 23-year-old believes he made a mistake in renewing his contract with the Ligue 1 champions and looks to leave the club as quickly as possible.
But Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting advisor Luís Campos has categorically denied the reports linking the striker away from the club.
“I am very surprised because I spend all my days with Kylian Mbappé, and he never once asked me or the president to leave in January. We have to be very clear that this isn’t a declaration – it is news that has come out a few hours before a very important match against Benfica. As for me, I have a three year contract at PSG and I am very happy to be here, in this place – and I work everyday so that I can fulfil my ambitions at the end of my contract.”
Meanwhile the Frenchman is in the starting lineup for PSG as they take on Benfica at home in the return leg of the champions league Group H this evening.
