Barcelona have made it five straight wins in LaLiga following their 3-0 victory over Elche at the Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday afternoon.
After their 0-0 draw with Rayo in their opening game, the Blaugrana have strung together five straight wins, scoring 18 goals and conceding just one.
Xavi and his charges needed cool heads to get the job done after Elche were playing with a man down almost the entire game. Gonzalo Verdu was sent off after less than a quarter of an hour for rugby-tackling Lewandowski when the Pole was through on goal.
Minutes later Lewandowski finished from close range to open the scoring on the 34th minute before Memphis Depay doubled the lead to slam in his first goal of the season before halftime.
Lewandowski added the third not long after the restart to extend his goal tally to eight in six games.
The Catalans are heading into the international break with a winning mentality and will hope all their arsenals will be back from their various national duties with a clean bill of health.
