Late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu goes to her maker this Saturday

The family of late Nigerian gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu plans to bury her remains in Abia State on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

The singer, who rose to prominence with her single “Ekwueme,” which has been seen 72 million times on YouTube, died on April 8 in an Abuja hospital.

The Dunamis International Gospel Centre’s principal vocalist was the 42-year-old diva.

She appeared in numerous popular gospel songs, including “Nara Ekele” by Pastor Paul Enenche (Dunamis, Abuja) and Emma’s “You no dey use me play.”

Immediately following her tragic death, hundreds of people, including her family, children, friends, and other acquaintances, turned to social media to expose that the singer had endured abuse at the hands of her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, leading to her death.

Her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, testified in court that his wife died of lung cancer and that he never assaulted her.

“Let me tell the entire world that I have suffered greatly.” I’ve been left behind. Cancer of the lungs killed my wife; I did not beat her. My wife, Osinachi Nwachukwu, died of lung cancer, therefore I’m suffering for something I don’t understand…”
