After last Friday’s incident, in which students took to the streets to protest what they claim is a deliberate attempt by management of the school to update their student portal, level 400 students of the University of Education, Winneba, have presented a petition to the administration of the school this morning.
The university’s campus is once again calm, but the student body has decided to boycott today’s courses in support of their demands.
The student claims that the grade that was placed on their portal was different from the grade that was posted on the notice board, and the facts of the petition include an unjust change of grade by management.
Additionally, they had problems with results from the COVID 19 era that did not correspond to their actual performance, and they were unfamiliar with the LMS, which was introduced as an online platform for student learning.
Early on Friday morning, the University of Education’s administration made a statement on the OSIS (Online Students Information System) portal, which will allow students to view their results and get assistance with problems.
University President of the Student Representative Council Felix Donkor spoke with Mireku Nyampong about the event.
