Minister of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development Hon Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah unhappy and has terminated some contractors contract under Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme (GSCSP) whiles he praises some contractors who are doing the good work.
Hon Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah says the government of Ghana took a loan from world Bank to develop 35 Municipalities under the program Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme (GSCSP ) but some contractors have failed to work after taken the contract .
In an interview with Media, Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah who toured Western and Central Region, to inspect the projects said, some contractors intentionally delayed on site and raised certificates for variation to demand another money from government.
Martin Agyei Mensah warned the remaining contractors to finished their project before October else the government will not add any money to their contract.
He commended the contractors who are working in Awutu Senya East Municipality (Kasoa) for their good work.
Meanwhile Municipal Chief Executive for Awutu Senya East, Anita Love Obo Amissah commended the contractors working Kasoa, Jei- river Road and other projects with in her municipality.
