Man City Run Riot As Haaland Hits Brace In Champions League Opener

Manchester City produced a masterclass by thrashing LaLiga side Sevilla 4-0 in their Champions opener in Spain.

Erling Haaland continued his blistering start to life at Manchester City by hitting a brace while Phil Foden and Ruben Dias scored the other two goals to round off an emphatic win for the Citizens.

Pep Guadiola’s men took absolute control of the game by battering Sevilla from pillar to post and from start to finish but surprisingly managed a single goal in the entire first half.

The visitors became more purposeful in the second half when Sevilla started showing glimpses of hope.

Haaland got the breakthrough in the 20th minute after guiding in a brilliant cross from Kevin De Bruyne before Foden doubled the lead in the 58th with a sweeping effort into the right bottom corner.

The Norwegian added the third with a simple finish while Dias added the icing on the cake in the dying embers to complete the thumping.
