A man believed to be about 40 years has been shot dead this morning by some unknown men on a motorcycle at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly in the Central region.
Speaking with this reporter, an eyewitness (name withheld) said that the victim was seen at the junction of the Opeikuma road, and was holding a brown envelope containing what is believed to be money.
She continued that the victim was waiting to board a vehicle when he was approached by some four men on a motorcycle. In what started as a mere conversation between the victim and the robbers, the latter snatched the brown envelope from the victim, shot him and bolted away with their booty.
The body of the victim was conveyed in a sprinter bus to the Kasoa Polyclinic where he was pronounced dead en route.
Meanwhile the Police in Kasoa is yet to effect any arrest or make comments on the matter.
