Medikal Allegedly Denied US Visa And Here Is Why

It has been alleged that Ghanaian musician, Medikal has been denied a US Visa.

According to a report by Ghanaweb portal, the father of 1 was denied a Visa to the United States on Tuesday, June 21 2022 after he had attended an interview at the Embassy Accra.

According to GhanaWeb, he was denied the Visa because he brandished a gun in 2021 which led to his conviction.

AMG Armani, who is in the same label with him was also denied the Visa, no reason recorded.

It will he vividly recalled that in 2021, the rapper was sentenced to 300 units, i.e, GHS 3,600 or to serve a nine-month prison term after he pleaded guilty to brandishing a gun.

The penalty landed on him came after he told the circuit court in Accra that he wanted to change his stance from “not guilty to guilty”.

Leading the charge was Chief Inspector Denis Terkpetey who said to the court “we [the Prosecution] are not aware that he wants to change his plea”.

Sources revealed that the Court presided over by His Honour Emmanuel Essandoh also directed the prosecution to release the gun to him after questioning why the prosecution wanted to be pre-informed.

Medikal was made to serve a week in jail at the Ankaful prison along with his bosom friend Shatta Wale who also caused public panic and fear with his fake shooting incident.
