MTN Foundation supports #Relief4LowerVolta campaign with GH¢300k donation

MTN Foundation has supported #Relief4LowerVolta, an initiative embarked on by Citi FM/Citi TV following the spilling of the Akosombo dam.

MTN Foundation donated items worth GH¢300,000, including washing powder, tomato paste, blankets, buckets, and boxes of canned mackerel among others.

On the Citi Breakfast Show, Bernard Avle announced the relief package donated to Citi FM/Citi TV, saying: “The MTN Foundation has sent in a massive donation. The relief items include 200 bags of rice, 85 gallons of cooking oil, 85 boxes of tomato paste, 60 boxes of canned mackerel, 50 bags of washing powder, 50 boxes of bar soaps, 100 mattresses, 50 blankets, and 80 buckets.”

“These items are to support Citi TV/Citi FM’s #Relief4LowerVolta, and the total value of the donation is GH¢300,000. They brought the items this morning, and we will be distributing them this week, with another round of donations to follow. We express our sincere gratitude to MTN Foundation for their show of generosity.”

A team from Busara Africa Limited, led by Taaka Awori, also donated a cheque for GH¢12,000.

Busara Africa Limited is a leadership development consulting firm based in Accra.
