MUSIGHA to Introduce Music Chart Year – Comm. Director

The communications director of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGHA), Daddy Bosco has said that the union will introduce an weekly music chart this year in order to motivate artists.

He revealed this plan exclusively on Obaatanpa Radio 92.5 yesterday in an interview with Ogboro Naghty DJ during the Akwaaba Entertainment Friday show.

He explained that the criteria for making the charts and the chart itself will be posted on the website and social media handles and that everything including online streams will be considered.

According to Daddy Bosco also known as “Ahuma Nsia”, the union has many plans this year including opening branches in the newly created six (6) additional regions.

He also said, the union have gotten some partnership offers on their table especially from some events organisers which they are going to consider. One of these awards he pointed out is the Ghana Reggae/Dancehall Awards which he said will be coming on soon.

The musician cum administrator also touched on registration fees saying there will be no changes.

He concluded by advising artists to use their precious time to write good songs and not waste their time on beefs because beef songs don’t sell.
