Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician, Esther Smith, has revealed the inspiration behind her new album ‘Wanimonyam So’. Speaking on Obaatanpa Radio with Mista Chanti, the singer explained that she was moved by how the Glory of God helped her in moments of difficulty.
Esther Smith is a Ghanaian gospel musician. She was born in Kumasi, Suame, Ghana in the early 70s. Esther joined the Tesano Methodist church choir at the age of 14-years-old and grew into music scene at the church.
After her secondary education, she attended Garden City Computer Training and Typing School and the School of Languages both in Kumasi, Ghana. She again joined a singing group set up by Kapital Radio a private radio station in Kumasi.
Esther Smith brought some serious fire on radio when she had an interview with Mista Chanti on Kwanso te sen drive on Obaatanpa Radio. After several years of not hearing from her, Obaatanpa Radio and Mista Chanti brought her to speak with her fan and gospel music lovers.
She did touch on several things that’s happening in the gospel music industry, This includes how the fashion of our current gospel musicians.
She added, “I will advise that whatever you want to do, no matter your anointing, ask God because irrespective of your anointing if someone evil comes your way and you don’t ask God, you will fall into a trap.”
According to her, most of her fellow gospel musician aren’t singing purely from the scriptures but they are just doing music and with this, there’s nothing really special about the songs they release. Also most of them aren’t progressing because of the greedy attitude they have developed.
Esther Smith also mentioned that, marriage isn’t something that’s really important to her because there’s nothing like marriage in heaven. Its just a normal thing, when it comes to my way, i will accept it. She told Mista Chanti.
She did advise that, anyone who is in an abusive marriage should quickly leave just so the person doesn’t get harmed at the end of the day.
Her new album is currently out which is titled “The Glory Of God”. The album can be streamed on all platforms.
