Nana Kofi Sakyi Ababio(V), Chief of Gomoa Okwahu in the Central Region’s Gomoa West District, has said that teenage pregnancy appears to be a thing of the past thanks to measures he and his elders brought before the community in 2018.
The Chief granted an interview with Mireku Nyampong four years ago which he stated that the entire community agreed on a Ghc200 fee for every youngster who becomes pregnant the process of schooling.
A Ghc200 from the man is also involved, as are both parents respectively.
In an interview with Obaatanpa News reporter, Mireku Nyampong, he further explained that his organization has decided to tighten the punishment by raising the fee to Ghc500 to help streamline the community’s education benefit.
Nana Kofi Sakyi Ababio(V) charged everyone to follow their directives in order to promote education and produce professionals in the community.
He indicated that, the community is now footing the bill for those who qualify for Shs, tertiary, and all sorts of education in the country, and that if you refuse their directions, you will be dealt with as well.
