The immediate past Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Sarah Adwoa Safo has finally responded to her dismissal from her office as Gender minister.
In a letter dated August 5, 2022, which has been leaked online and addressed to the President in response to her dismissal, Adwoa Sarfo expressed her gratitude to the president for giving her the opportunity to serve as a minister in his government.
The Dome-Kwabenya MP believes that her dismissal will enable her to concentrate fully on her constituents and also focus more on developmental projects in her constituency.
“It is with profound gratitude that I express utmost appreciation to you for the opportunity to serve as Minister in both terms of your government. It was an honour to serve at this all-important Ministry albeit for a short time.”
“Cognizant of my duties to the 75,000 constituents who elected me, this development is opportune and will afford me more time to concentrate on my Parliamentary responsibilities and Constituency engagements as well as consolidate the gains we have made as a government at the Constituency level in our quest to break the eight,” she said.
This response from Adwoa Sarfo comes after the president on the 28th of July 2020 relieved the Minister of her position as Minister for Gender, children, and social protection after a series of calls from the public after parliament also tabled a verdict about her eligibility to serve in parliament.
