A Political Showdown Looms in Ablekuma North
In a dramatic twist in the political landscape of Ablekuma North, Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency, has openly declared her intention to frustrate the newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Kalam Musah Adamu, nominated by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The declaration comes after President Mahama’s recent appointment of an NDC-affiliated MCE to oversee the Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly—a move that has sparked fierce opposition from the NPP PC.
A Bold Declaration
Speaking at a #SaveTheJudiciaryDemo, Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie, a lawyer and former MP for the area, did not mince words. She threatened a showdown on the day of assembly verification of the newly appointed MCE.
