About Easy Cover Funeral
Easy-to-understand, easy-to-purchase funeral insurance that provides excellent value for money and is simple to use! With the EasyCover Funeral Plan, you can rest assured that you’ve made the best decision for your family.
Up to 30 individuals, including yourself, can be covered. Each extra member will require a separate payment. Premiums differ depending on the age of the dependent and their relationship to you.

• Free transportation and lodging for a single relative accompanying the body to the funeral home of your choice for one night.
Easy Cover Funeral Plan
Depending on your age and the amount of coverage, you could pay as little as R19.50 each month.
A maximum family package of R40 000 is available. The rate is valid for anyone aged 18 to 50 and includes an administrative fee.
Free Value for Life benefits
Value for Life provides funeral support services to you, your immediate family, and your domestic worker(s).
You or the insured lives can contact the Value for Life Call Centre on 0860 000 538 in the case of your death or the death of a life covered under the policy to receive access to the following benefits:
• Free transportation of the mortal remains to the funeral home of your choice.
• Free transportation arrangements and accommodation, for one night, for one relative accompanying the mortal remains to the funeral home of your choice.
• Advice on funeral procedures, eg the securing of a death certificate.
• Assistance with the arrangement of a funeral or cremation.
How To Claim
If you have a death claim, call our Client Services Contact Centre during business hours at 0860 333 111.
Value for Life benefits can be obtained by calling the Value For Life Call Centre at 0860 000 538. (repatriation, transportation and accommodation, legal assistance and discounts on funeral packages and lifestyle options).
You must additionally submit the following documentation to a Nedbank branch or a Nedbank kiosk within selected Boxer Superstores:
• Original certified copy of the final death certificate.
• Original certified copy of the deceased’s identity document. A full birth certificate will be required if the deceased was under the age of 18.
• Original certified copy of the person making the claim’s identification document.
• A properly completed claim form or a call to our Customer Service Center to register your claim.
• A notification of death form (Form# BI-1663/DHA-1663).
• A certified copy of a bank statement for the account into which the claim must be paid.
• A burial order or invoice/receipt for the funeral.
