Ashanti Region communications team member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Felix Donkor has suggested that Ghana’s first president Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, will be happy wherever he is if he evaluates the good works under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led administration.
Making contributions to a radio discussion about Nkrumah’s legacy and leadership that has come after him, Mr. Donkor noted that apart from the NPP under Nana Addo all other presidents have not matched the vision of Kwame Nkrumah.
He made the comments on Kumasi-based Ultimate FM, monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
‘‘You see, presidents have come and gone, but one leader that will be remembered for having a vision comparable to Nkrumah is the NPP under Nana Addo’’
‘‘I am telling you, Nkrumah will be excited if he were to come back and see Ghana now. The vision of the NPP is so attractive that we will see its benefit in the future’’ he said.
‘‘Nkrumah, were ever he is now, he will be happy looking down on Ghana’’
He says the numerous futuristic programs of the NPP are there for all to see.
‘‘Under this NPP, we have one district one factor, and over 159 of these factories are working’’
‘‘We have one village, one dam, school feeding, free SHS, planting for food and jobs, tell me who can match this President now’’ the NPP communicator quizzed.
Kwame Nkrumah’s legacy has been the subject matter of attention after his birthday was observed as a memorial holiday.
Every 21st of September is Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day in Ghana. This holiday commemorates the birthday of Ghana’s main independence leader, first prime minister, and first president, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
