An X user who goes by the name Abdul Hameed has criticized remarks made by the New Patriotic Party‘s (NPP) majority leader, Afenyo Markin regarding the government’s tax policies and handling of power outages.
During a recent media address, Afenyo Markin stated that the NPP government inherited a tax-heavy system from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He claimed that despite challenges, the NPP improved the situation significantly.
In response, Abdul Hameed took to Twitter to express disagreement.
He argued that Afenyo Markin’s statements should not be taken seriously and pointed out the ongoing power outages in Ghana, attributing them to the NPP’s alleged failure to address the issue effectively.
“The level of buffoonery the NPP serves us is incredible. You just moved Ameri (a Mahama investment) to Kumasi to improve power situation. You met, ESLA and squandered, now leaving us billions of Cedi debt in energy sector. And he has the balls to even talk. Ghana paa!,” Abdul Hameed stated.
