NPP loses Youth Organizer

The ruling New Patriotic Party has been thrown into a state of mourning over the loss of its Upper East regional Youth Organizer, Latif Solomon.

Latif, who had been battling with an undisclosed medical condition passed yesterday evening, according to our source close to the family.

Our source further reveals that Mr. Latif Solomon returned into the country from India after receiving treatment a few days ago, but unfortunately passed.

Our attempts to reach the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Food and Buffer Stock, Alhaji Abdul-wahab Hanan Aludiba, who is a close friend of the deceased and is believed to have financed the medical trip of Latif to India has proved futile.

The body, according to our source is with the family in Bolgatanga, and will be buried later today according to Islamic traditions.

His death has come as a big shock to friends and his colleagues in the Elephant Party considering the fact that he was full of life after returning from India.

Latif’s extraordinary leadership and role in mobilizing the youth in the region was a key player in the victory of the New Patriotic Party in the 2020 elections.

He was described as a thorn in the flesh of the opposition NDC in the run up to the 2020 elections as he was seen moving from one media platform to another across the country, challenging propaganda claims by the NDC and making strong cases for the re-election of the ruling NPP.

Latif is described by many as a youth-leader who had a bubbly political career ahead of him, and will be remembered for his insatiable love for the NPP, the Upper East region and the youth front.

Friends and colleagues have taken to various social media platforms to pay tributes to the man who was the eye of the Upper East region.
