One person is in critical condition and has been transferred to Korle Bu teaching hospital whiles six other injured persons are still on admission at Botianor Polyclinic in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The collapsing of Word In Action church occurred around 11am this morning at Old Botianor Ajasco junction in the Ga South Municipality of Greater Accra Region.
According to eyewitness Efo Gideon Mawunyo who help rescued the 7 workers who were trap in the building said, they saw windows of third floor of the building breaking all of a sudden and in few minutes the whole building collapsed .
He said, they followed up to the scene and saw the Masons and labourers who were working during that time been trapped under the building. All the victims were rash to the Bortianor Polyclinic for treatment he added.
Mireku Nyampong speaking with Weija Fire Service Commander AD01 Isaac Saah who was at the scene said his team with other personnel’s from police and Nadmo were there to help rescue the trapped victims.
He added that investigations are still ongoing to help find the cause of the incident.
Also, Ga South Municipal Deputy Nadmo Director in charge of Operations Mr Wonder Matthew said, search has conducted and no one has be left under the collapse building.
The church has issue a statement concerning the incident.
