Otto Addo to lead the Black Stars at 2022 FIFA World Cup

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reportedly reached an agreement with Germany-based football club, Borussia Dortmund for the release of interim coach Otto Addo for a year which will allow him to manage the Black Stars at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The former Ghanaian midfielder mastermninded the Black Stars’ qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup after beating Nigeria for the spot.

Otto Addo currently serves as a scout and assistant coach for the Yellow and Black and after GFA reached an agreement with them, he will be in charge to take the team to the World Cup where Ghana will try to redeem their image from the 2014 embarrassment.

Addo was named as interim coach before the World Cup playoffs. He was assisted by Chris Hughton as technical advisor, while George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani were also appointed as members of the technical team.
