People calling for a reshuffle are NDC; they want to destabilize my government – Nana Akufo-Addo

President of Ghana

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has noticed that those advocating for a reshuffle have an agenda.

The President claims that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) members making the calls are primarily doing so to undermine his administration.

Additionally, he thinks that some NPP members in need of employment are behind these calls, and he will not fall for it.

“The calls come for all kinds of reasons; NDC wanting to destabilize the government is one. There are people who are also looking for jobs.”

The President praised his Ministers, noting that they are performing well while speaking on Tamale’s North Star radio station.

President Akufo-Addo said “many of them for me have done outstanding work. Their output has been considerable, and that is what I look at.”

“If the output measures expectations, then I don’t have any strong reasons to heed the call,” President Akufo-Addo added.

The President has been urged to replace some of his appointed ministers and other officials.

There is a perception that the current administration will fare better if there is a rearrangement.
