The Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, had his mobile phone reported stolen at a Nigerian courtroom by an unidentified person or group.
A video shared on Twitter showed him searching for his phones and informing his running mate, Datti Baba Ahmed, that he had misplaced them somewhere. As of now, he has not been able to locate his phone, and Nigerians have expressed their disapproval of the incident.
Here are some reactions from Twitter users:
@Gucciofficial9: “They could have planted evidence to arrest this man, but since they couldn’t find any, they went ahead to steal his phone in the courtroom.”
@aai_austin: “In the midst of the serious matters we are discussing, they still had the audacity to steal a phone? Can you imagine?”
@Boma_Wills: “This is how these people around him would have misplaced our national budget. They are always stealing his phones.”
@MStorsh: “First, they stole your mandate, and now they took your phone too??? They should return at least one of them to you.”
@ChovskiFernando: “This is concerning. They must recover the phone quickly before it’s used against the Labour Party and Obi in any negative way.”
