Fear has gripped the residents of Tuba in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region following the discovery of a 60year old Evangelist, Opanyin Yaw Okyere decomposed body in his room.
According to people who lived around, the Deceased wasn’t seen around for some days now but they today started feeling some unpleasant ordour from the room of the deceased. Upon breaking in with the intervention of the security Agencies, they discovered the lifeless body of the Evangelist which is believed to have been dead for about 5days.
Evangelist Opanyin Yaw Okyere reportedly lived alone with his family residing far away in the Bono Region.
In an interview with the media, Mr. Tetteh Maverick Agbo who is Unit Committee Member for the Tuba Electoral Area, revealed that the late Evangelist frequently go to Kasoa to do Street Evangelism but it is very unfortunate to find his lifeless body in such state.
He added that the police have transferred the body to the mortuary, awaiting the arrival of family members from the Bono region.
The Ga South Environmental Health team has intervened, fumigating the room to reduce the unpleasant scent.
Meanwhile, some residents expressed their thoughts and concerns about the incident which they say it has created fear and panic among them.
