Prophet Ajagurajah enters the controversy surrounding Reverend Anthony Boakye’s funeral

Bishop Abed Kwabena Boakye Asiamah, popularly known as Ajagurajah and leader of the Universal Spiritual Outreach and Ajagurah Movement, has advised fellow men of the cloth to take heed of the controversy surrounding the funeral arrangements of Reverend Anthony Boakye from the Resurrection Power Generation Ministry.

Ajagurajah has highlighted the importance of pastors preparing their wills ahead of time to prevent disputes among family members in the event of their untimely demise. He emphasized that this recent incident should serve as a lesson for pastors to consider making arrangements that ensure their properties are properly allocated to their children and heirs.

He also suggested that polygamy could be a solution to such conflicts and urged men to consider this option as a way to protect their legacy and ensure harmony among their family members.

In a Facebook live post addressing the feud between Rev. Anthony Boakye’s wife and family, Bishop Abed Kwabena Boakye Asiamah advised pastors, especially those in charismatic churches, to be proactive in securing their family’s future through careful estate planning.

He shared his perspective on the matter, “I want to advise charismatic pastors. If you say you want to marry more than one wife, have you seen what is happening with Anthony Kwadwo Boakye’s wife and children? When I talk about polygamy, you may think I am joking. If Anthony Kwadwo Boakye had three or four wives, would this situation have occurred? Let’s be honest with ourselves. This incident should be a lesson to us, especially to the charismatic church leaders.”

Bishop Abed Kwabena Boakye Asiamah’s comments were prompted by a recent legal injunction placed on the funeral of the late Rev. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, which was sought by Rev. Mrs. Margaret Boakye, the widow of the deceased pastor. Despite the legal action, the funeral proceeded in Accra.

Rev. Anthony Boakye passed away on February 1, 2023, following a prolonged illness. The dispute over his funeral arrangements has raised questions about the importance of estate planning and family harmony among pastors and spiritual leaders.
