Morocco and Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi has been accused of rape by a 23-year old lady in Paris, France.
French publication Le Parisien, broke the news on Monday that a young woman in her early twenties went to the police station over the weekend, and said she was raped by Hakimi.
The reports says French authorities have since opened investigations into the case due its seriousness and the facts available to them.
The lady reportedly presented herself to the Nogent-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) station and narrated to the police how she had been raped by Paris Saint-Germain right-back.
However, the young lady, a resident of Fontenay-sous-Bois is reluctant to file a complaint but instead make a statement of rape.
According the woman things got out of hand in the Hakimi’s home and he started kissing and touching her inappropriately before she managed to free herself by pushing her away.
The two reportedly got into contact on January 16 through social network Instagram.
Hakimi was instrumental in Morocco’s historic semifinal berth at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Morocco international is married with a son who he recently turned four couple of weeks ago.
