This week, R. Kelly seemed to release a new album, but it has now been taken down from all streaming services after his firm Sony Music said it might not have been allowed.
Despite the fact that R. Kelly is still behind bars after being charged with several federal crimes, a new album called I Admit It was made available on all streaming services on Friday (December 9).
At least one previously published song appeared on the 13-track album: the contentious 19-minute title track, which was posted to Soundcloud in 2018.
These are streaming services I Admit It was made available through Legacy Recordings, a branch of Sony Music that specializes in brand-new albums by legendary performers including Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton, and Elvis Presley. Reissues by Sony’s current and former roster of artists are also housed on Legacy’s label.
Sony alerted TMZ that I Admit It was not an authorized distribution a few hours after the project’s debut. The label stated that they were still investigating who and how the new record was published.
