Real Madrid have maintained their perfect start to the season after fighting back from a goal down to register a commanding 4-1 win over Real Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side had much of the ball but it did not translate into greater threats in front of goal in the opening exchanges.
Mallorca drew first blood after Kang-in Lee’s corner kick found Vedat Muriqi who rose and headed home from the back post to put the visitors ahead before Federico Valverde leveled on the stroke of half time.
The Uruguay international carried the ball from his own half before smashing it into the top corner to ensure Madrid ended the first half stronger.
Vinicius Junior doubled the lead midway through the second half while Rodrygo and Antonio Rüdiger found the back of the net in the closing minutes to round off an emphatic win for Los Blancos.
The win has taken Real Madrid back on top of LaLiga table and also ensure they are the only team in Europe’s top five leagues with a 100% win record.
