RELIGIOUS LEADER URGES MPS TO ENSURE SWIFT PASSAGE OF ANTI-GAY BILL

The Branch Pastor of True Faith Church International, Maranatha Branch,
Pastor David Duku is calling on Members of Parliament (MPs) to ensure the
swift passage of the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and the
Ghanaian Family Values Bill, 2021.
This appeal comes after the Members of Parliament last week after the first
reading of the bill rise for the passage of the bill to kick against the practice of
Gay and Lesbianism.


The primary objective of the bill is to criminalize LGBTQ activities and
establish regulations pertaining to proper human sexual rights and Ghanaian
family values. It aims to outlaw LGBTQ-related activities while also providing
protection and support for children.


In an interview with Obaatanpa News when the Church organized Sabbath
School Kids Singing Competition to hunt for talent among the kids in the
church, Pastor David Duku emphasized the importance of upholding the
customs, traditions, and religious beliefs of the country.
He urged the MPs to fulfil their duty by passing the bill in alignment with
these principles.

Mr. David Yeboah who is a single with a popular song titled “Heaven No de3
Lie Lie” on his part urged the Ghanaian Youth to ensure that they wear
appropriate dress. He bemoaned that the rate of improper dressing is highly
contributing to prostitution in the country.
