James Ababio known in showbiz as Mista Chanti says musician do not use dancers much in making their music video attractive to watch these days but rather prefer to use ladies that will go nude.
Dancers have been relegated hugely in Ghana despite several attempts by some them to draw the attention of the entertainment industry players to how important the art is to the industry.
According the host of “Kwanso Te Sen” drive time on Obaatanpa Radio, Musician now use ladies who are prepared to go nude in music videos as a bait to get the videos viral and patronized on social media and this is really costing dancers a lot because demand for their services has gone down low making the relevance in the music fraternity reducing every passing day.
Chanti went on to say our industry does not respect dancers.
He said ” Our industry does not respect dancers. Dancers must sometimes beg to perform at events. Whereas some give them limited time to perform, other don’t even give them the chance which show how dancers are disregarded in this country”.
“It’s time we paid attention to dancers because we can also make money out of that industry ” he concluded.
The presenter cum event made all these assertions on the entertainment Friday edition of Akwaaba After Drive hosted by Ogboro Naghty DJ on Obaatanpa Radio 92.5.
