Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) in Central Region in collaboration with department of Narcoties Control Board (Nacob) central region and Effutu municipal assembly department of environmental health has storm winneba market, sea-shores to educate the fishermen and also the youths who are on drugs like wee smoking, cigarette, shisha, cocaine and tobacco to desist from it since is causing more harm than good to the body.
Speaking to the media after the education, Madam Francisca Obeng Central Regional Head, Food and Drugs Authority said, the aim of this education is to let the youths know the dangerous involved in taken in the above mentioned drugs.
She said, excess taken of these drugs can cause deadly sickness like blindness, throat cancer, liver disease etc.
Madam Francisca Obeng however advised the youths to avoid engaging in such activities since they’re the future leaders.
She said, the youths should reduce taking shisha, wee and cigarettes during this Christmas festivity when visiting the various pups.
Also, Mireku Nyampong spoke with Officers from the Nacortices Control Board and the Effutu municipal assembly environmental health department also advised drivers who take in wee toffee, drinking alcoholic substance before driving should stop to avoid accident during this Christmas era.
