Nigerian dancer based in the U.S., Korra Obidi has reinforced some stereotypes about Nigerians after she flew out to Hawaii to have fun just a few days after raising a lot of money on GoFundMe for her legal bills.
Korra Obidi had jumped on the crowdfunding platform with a sob story about her ex-husband attempting to destroy her career by copyrighting her videos on Facebook.
According to her, whenever her daughters appear in her videos, her exx gets it taken by Meta and that is adversely affecting her ability to make money.
She said as she lives in Los Angeles, legal bills are too expensive and hence she needs the public to help her raise money to challenge her ex-husband in court to gain back the rights to show her kids in her videos.
Shockingly, just a few days after starting the fundraiser with a $100,000 goal and reaching over $50,000 in donations, Obidi flew to Hawaii for a vacation.
That did not sit well with her followers who trashed her for deceiving them only to use the donations to her personal use.
Korra in response said the vacation had been booked far in advance and she’s not going to put her life on hold just because she started a fundraiser.
