Staying relevant in the industry comes with sacrifices – Tic Tac

Hiplife artist Nana Kweku Okyere Dua well known as Tic Tac has said that staying relevant in the industry comes with sacrifices.

According to the legendary artist, any artist who wants to stay relevant in the music space should endeavor to put in more effort.

In an interview with Nana Yaw Gyebi of Adwumapa Mbre on Connect 97.1 FM, Tic Tac says that as an artist there are efforts one needs to do to keep up in the industry.

“Staying relevant in the music industry comes with a lot of attributes. It’s not just making the music but what you are doing. What kind of music are you putting out, and how do you want people to see you?”

“Do you want to be a commercial product or just any other artist? These are questions you should ask yourself as an artist and while you ask, you need to tow a certain lane that would help you not to inflate yourself and many other things. You have to be able to control your TV appearances, where you should go and don’t, and even the kind of people you associate yourself with.”

The musician explained that apart from these attributes, staying away from negative energy, showing love, and praying for God’s wisdom are very important.

“You have to be able to make the right decisions and have genuine people to advise you. Above all, pray. Ask God for your wisdom, stay away from bad energies and learn to show love.”
