13 year old student Godfred Ankomah at Agona Swedru Methodist basic (B) school within the Agona West municipality in the central region has met his untimely death after his teacher gave him 6 lashes at his back.
According to sources, the class teacher the only name given as madam Millicent cane all her students for making noise during class hour.
Sources feather revealed that, during the turn of the deceased ( Godfred Ankomah) he complained to her teacher the cane has hit his spinal cord after receiving 3 lashes out of 6 but the teacher refused and continued lashing him at his back
Mireku Nyampong speaking with mother of the deceased Beatrice White and she indicated that, her son returned from school complaining of his not feeling well.
Madam White added that, when his son was send to the hospital he started vomiting blood and complaining of his back and after interrogation he confess to the doctor he was cane by his teacher and the cane hit his spinal cord .
She added that, in a short time period after his son has confess to them he died instantly. According to her, she has informed the school authorities but yet to meet them.
