Ghanaian up-and-coming female musician, Itz Adepa has revealed why she quitted acting to pursue her music career stating that she went through hell at the hands of some producers and directors and feels the movie industry is dead.
The movie industry being dead or not has always been a debate among Showbiz critics, movie producers, movie directors, and all others who are in the movie industry.
According to the multi-talented singer, she ignored film acting because the movie industry has collapsed or perhaps dead due to what some directors and producers do especially to actresses.
She explained that most of them demand $exual relationships before giving you a role and she has been a victim on so many occasions.
She emphasized that they sometimes give you the role and then proposed to you in the middle of production.
Speaking with Ogboro Naghty on the Akwaaba After-Drive on Obaatanpa Radio 92.5mhz, the ‘Baby’ crooner said, she had always wanted to be a movie actress or a musician and since the movie industry is uncomfortable for her and also not as active as before, she has to focus on her other talent which is singing.
She continued that she was always at the end of love proposals by producers and directors in the movie industry which got her frustrated. According to her, she faces less harassment in the music industry as compared to movies.
The ‘Fa Be Woso’ queen added that she is very ready for the music business therefore she and her management team are doing everything right to put Ghana music on the map.
