Former President John Dramani Mahama has promised to revive the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) if he is elected president in the 2024 presidential election.
According to him, the company that was thriving under the NDC administration is collapsing under the inept NPP administration.
Speaking to delegates of the NDC in Ashaiman as part of his Greater Accra Regional tour, John Mahama pledged that a new NDC government would revive TOR.
“TOR has never processed crude oil again since we (NDC) left office; I recall sending the first batch of Ghanaian crude oil from our own oil fields to TOR before we left office. That oil sat there for several years before being discounted and sold without being processed. I can assure you that when NDC returns, TOR will be back on its feet.”
