TURKEY EARTHQUAKE: Christian Atsu Pulled Out Alive

Black Stars and Hatayspor Winger, Christian Atsu has been pulled out alive after he was trapped under rubble for more than 24 hours in a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Southern Turkey, according to the latest reports.

A Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who has been at the scene since Monday reported on Tuesday morning that “Christian Atsu has been pulled from the wreckage alive!”

Meanwhile search and rescue operations are underway for survivors including Hatayspor Sporting Director, Taner Savut who went missing with Atsu after the devastating earthquake.

The former Newcastle player joined Hatayspor last summer and has been instrumental in their fight against relegation.

He scored a last minute winner for the club on Sunday before the earthquake struck hours later on Monday.

Nearly 5000 people have been killed after two powerful earthquakes struck Turkey and Syria within the space of 12 hours.
