Two Arrested At Awutu Bereku For Parading As NIA Personal

Ghana Card

Nicholas Odoom and his accomplices, both Nigerian nationals, were arrested by Awutu Bereku police for posing as National Identification Authorities (NIA) officers and accepting bribes from people waiting in line to register for their Ghana cards in the name of providing them with protocols to get their cards faster.

The event occurred at the Awutu Senya West District’s Awutu Bereku NIA sub-office.

According to sources, the two suspects come in early each day to solicit money from participants ranging from Gh20 upwards in the guise of assisting them in getting their card faster, but then leave the premises without assisting them.
