U-20 World Cup: Black Princesses Out After 4-1 Capitulation To The Netherlands

The Black Princesses of Ghana have been booted out of the ongoing U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica following a 4-1 demolishing by the Netherlands in their final group game.

They needed a big win (six goals) in their last group encounter with the Netherlands to stand the chance of progressing to the next round but things went downhill fast.

The Netherlands took the lead in the 28th minute before adding another three including a penalty to bundle Ghana out of the tournament.

Doris Boaduwaa scored the consolation goal for Ghana which has now proved to be the only goal the Black Princesses have registered in the tournament.

The Black Princesses lost 3-0 to USA in their opening game and 2-0 in their second game against Japan.

Ghana has failed to progress to the second round in the U-20 Women’s World Cup for the sixth time.
