The staff of EIB Network are currently seething in anger as the business owner Dr. Kwabena Duffuor is set to contest as flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress(NDC).
The former Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) on Wednesday officially announced his intention to face off with former President John Dramani Mahama and others for the party’s slot ahead of the 2024 polls.
The National Democratic Congress has today officially opened nominations for the election of Presidential and Parliamentary candidates for the 2024 general elections.
“I am happy to announce that tomorrow I will pick forms at 9am, to contest to be the next NDC Flagbearer by the Grace of the Almighty God. To all Comrades who have lost hope, I say to you today, that HOPE is HERE! The journey to rescue and reposition the NDC for VICTORY 2024 begins!”, he wrote on his official Facebook page.
The staff of the media conglomerate whose salaries continue to be in arrears for months over unexplained reasons it is gathered have been urged to give extensive coverage as he picks his nomination forms at the NDC Headquarters, but the directive from management appears not to have gone down well with a section.
Some of them who have been unpaid for over 15 months, wondered why they should continue to lend their support to Dr. Duffuor to blow more cash on the exercise while they go hungry.
They have subsequently hinted of a protest against his candidature if management fails to pay them their accrued arrears as pressure mounts them from families.
Prospective candidates of the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential Primaries have an amount of Gh¢30,000 and Gh¢500,000 to pay as filing fees and registration forms respectively.
