Police received a distress call yesterday night that passengers are being attacked by armed robbers on the Cape coast to Accra Highway in between Otchereko police station and Gomoa Dominase area.
According to the deputy commander of the Central East Police Command, ACP Oduro Amaning ,the police patrol and the CTU team, upon receiving the information moved to the scene but unfortunately , the armed robbers had run away.
About 15 cartridges of pomp action gun was fired upon the investigation of the police .
It has also come to their notice that some of the passengers were injured.
The Central East Police Command is therefore appealing to the victims of the incidence to come and report and in turn provide the police with the necessary information to arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
