Reports coming in suggest that Queen of Galamsey and other suspects arrested have been denied bail by the Accra Circuit Court.
Aisha Huang and three other suspects were remanded by the Accra High Court into police custody for indulging in illegal small-scale mining in Ghana.
Aisha Huang and the other three suspects arrived at the Accra High court today, Wednesday, September 14, and pleaded not guilty to the two charges of mining without a license and engaging in the sale and purchase of minerals without a valid license.
On the other hand, one of the suspects standing trial alongside Aisha Huang passed out earlier during court proceedings. A video of the suspect being carried to a car has been shared on social media where she was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The cause of the suspect passing out during court proceedings is yet to be known and communicated.
Justice Bright Appiah denied the accused bail and remanded them into police custody.
They are to reappear on Tuesday, September 27.
