The Electoral Commission of Ghana has asked the people of Ghana to disregard a video in which a man is seen stuffing a ballot box.
According to the Commission, the video is not emanating from the Commission neither is the official in the video their staff.
The EC in its statement denying the video indicated that their staff are known to wear a blue vest.
Also, the EC indicated that their polling stations are sited in open spaces as compared to the said video which is in an enclosed space.
The Commission is of the view that the video in circulation is just aimed at tarnishing their reputation.
The Electoral Commission used the opportunity to remind the people of Ghana that in this era of disinformation and fake news, it is imperative that they cross-check before consuming any information they see.
