A woman who is yet to be identified has been seen in a viral video slapping French president Emmanuel Macron in the face in public.
In a video sighted online, the woman who came out of the crowd slapped President Macron before his bodyguards overpowered her.
In a video making the rounds on social media, Macron was hit by an attacker. The incident reportedly happened on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
This is not the first time that the French president would be subjected to physical abuse publicly. This is the second time. The first time happened in June 2021, when a man, identified as Damien Tarel, slapped him during a tour in southern France.
In the video that made round in 2021, Macron was seen stretching his hands to greet the man when he slapped him in the face.
He could also be heard yelling “Montjoie Saint Denis”, the battle cry of the French army when the country was still a monarchy.
