Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, founder and president of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, has revealed that a 40-day time of prayer and fasting has begun for the Black Stars in preparation for their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign.

The pastor said that he felt compelled to pray for the squad in order to assist them in delivering a solid performance in the World Cup, which was going to be held in Qatar.

Dr. Lawrence Tetteh said in an interview he gave to GTV that he has already led prayer sessions with some Black Stars players in preparation for the competition.

“Over the last several days, Moses Foh Amoaning has been pressuring me to pray with some of them, and we’ve even begun a 40-day prayer initiative directed towards Qatar. He said that most of us would be travelling to Qatar.

He said that “the majority of the players are young guys I have motivated in a variety of ways.”

As a reminder, the victory against Nigeria in the World Cup playoffs allowed the Black Stars to qualify for their fourth straight World Cup competition.

At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which starts in November, Ghana is scheduled to play Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay, among other teams.

The last time the Black Stars participated in the World Cup, they were eliminated in the group stage of the competition.
