RuffTown Records signee Wendy Shay has hinted at her plans to build a Hospital.
It would be called that on Monday, November 20, 2023, through her outfit, Shay Foundation, Wendy Shay donated teaching and learning materials to pupils at the Weija Presbyterian Primary and Junior High School in the Greater Accra Region.
This benevolent act, which commemorated International Children’s Day, underscored her commitment to promoting access to essential educational resources for students.
On Tuesday, February 20, she celebrated her birthday with a heartwarming act of generosity.
Through her Shay Foundation, she visited the Paediatric Theatre at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, her birthplace, to offer meaningful support.
Beyond donations of essential items like baby cots and a digital baby scale, the RuffTown Records’ signee extended a personal touch.
She chose to cover the medical bills and discharge mothers who had given birth on her birthday, expressing her joy and honouring her roots.
On Tuesday, March 5, she again donated GhC10,000.00 to late Highlife legend KK Kabobo who was undergoing treatment for a liver disease at the University of Ghana Hospital.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with CNN African Voice Changemakers, Wendy Shay, known in real life as Wendy Asiamah Addo stated categorically that her plan to build the Hospital is part of her corporate social responsibility.
According to the ‘Bedroom Commando’ hitmaker, “I nurse people through my music and my deeds…. I do a lot of charity work… I have the plan to build a Hospital … It is part of my social responsibilities “
