Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah, has reignited concerns surrounding the late Sir John’s will, which reportedly bequeathed forest concessions, properties, and state lands to his family.

According to her, the current status of this matter remains shrouded in uncertainty, prompting inquiries into why President Nana Akufo-Addo has not taken any action on the matter.

The late Sir John, a respected figure in Ghanaian politics, left behind a will that has sparked public interest and raised questions about the disposition of state resources.

The matter gained prominence after the Will leaked in May 2022.

Joyce Bawah has been wondering why decisive steps have not been taken to address the matter and ensure accountability in the use of state resources.

“You may recall the regrettable will of the late Sir John, who left forest concessions, properties, and state lands to his family upon his passing. What is the current status of this matter? Why has the President yet to take action? We are eagerly waiting for the President’s response. Galamsey is still ongoing, causing damage to our water bodies,” she said.
