Commercial drivers and the residents at the Ayimensah and Danfa in the Ga East District of the Greater Accra region are pleading to the government to help fix their road.
The 3km road saw any major construction work as far back as the year 2000 by the then member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Honourable Alhaji Amadu Sorogho and has since not received any form of repair to the accumulated damages.
Speaking to obaatanparadioonline.com‘s reporter, the residents said they are tired of the bad nature of the road and are therefore pleading with the appropriate authorities to come to their aid.
They are of the view that the bad nature of the road is also a hindrance to the development of the area and therefore there is the need for government to come to their aid with issues regarding road construction to enhance speed development in the area.
On the 7th of January 2021, The president of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, during his swearing in to office as president described this year as the year of roads and therefore, the residents of Ayimensah and Danfa are hoping to benefit from the president’s promise.
Mr Kabir Ibrahim, a commercial driver who plies the Ayimensah to Danfa road said that the bad nature of the road makes them lose a lot of money owing to the fact that most passengers disembark on their journeys.
