Closure Of Landborders Gov’t Introduce ‘ Cares’ Programme To Stabilize Business – Ambros Dery

The minister for Interior who doubles as MP for Nandom Hon.Ambrose Dery, has stated that the closure of land borders have affected businesses in the country.

Answering to a parliamentary question filed by Hon. Dzifa Gomashie, who sought to know the measures put in place to alleviate the suffering of border communities who source of livelihood has not be accessible to them due to the closure of Ghana’s land borders.

The minister categorically stated that, government is aware of the impact of the closure of land borders which has affected Ghanaian businesses.

“In view of this the government of Ghana has introduced the COVID-19 Alleviation and Revitalization of Enterprise Support ( CARES) known as Obaatanpa Programme to alleviate the impact on businesses and other sector to improve the economy.He stated that those along the border towns will take advantage of the government’s intervention to advance the fortunes of their businesses till the borders are reopened.
