Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, for the government’s initiative to reintroduce free fertilizers to boost agriculture in Ghana.
Mr. Donkoh emphasized that this initiative should not be limited to cocoa farmers alone, as farmers in other sectors also require support to enhance their agricultural activities.
He highlighted the importance of aiding both organic and conventional farming practices, as both types of farming rely on fertilizers to improve land productivity and crop yields.
Additionally, Mr. Donkoh urged the minister to encourage the youth to engage in farming. He pointed out that many young individuals are interested in farming but face significant challenges, such as a lack of starting capital and access to machinery, which hinder their ability to participate in farming activities effectively.
