Ghana is different from what I was told- American rapper Vic Mensa

Vic Mensa is an American rapper and singer.

He and Chance the Rapper visited the country recently where they had fun reconciling with their roots and the vibe of Ghanaian culture.

Vic Mensa told content creator Kojo Manuel while he was in Ghana that the West doesn’t tell the true story about Africa.

He said his perspective about the beautiful West African country changed when he finally spent much time in the country with his colleague Chance the Rapper.

Victor Kwesi Mensah was born on June 6, 1993. His father is from Ghana and his mother is a white American.[8] Mensa grew up in the Hyde Park neighbourhood of Chicago.

He attended Whitney M. Young Magnet High School and while a freshman met Chancellor Bennett in passing (Bennett would later be known as Chance the Rapper).

Mensa began his career when he formed a band called Kids These Days in 2009. The band would eventually release two projects, an extended play titled Hard Times in 2011, and a mixtape titled Traphouse Rock in 2012 (Wikipedia).
